• To support its members and, through them, to strengthen the private sector in Syria.
• To be the voice of the private sector, advocating for high standards of business practice and quality opportunities.
• To analyse and communicate the political, diplomatic, and security environment affecting business risk and opportunity.
• To establish a network of high-quality members who can collaborate on opportunities and challenges in Syria.
• To provide a forum for British, Syrian, and international business leaders to share perspectives and develop partnerships.
• To work with the governments of the UK and Syria to encourage private sector development, sound legislation, effective banking systems, and clear risk management frameworks.
• To build on established experience elsewhere, shortening learning curves and using existing networks to establish credibility and influence quickly.
